A POUND IN ARCHERY

Heavier bow does not mean better shot
With a lighter bow you can have relax shots, instead of a heavier bow that you have difficulty drawing,. you get less tired, and you will have more stable shots. Do not let the heavy bow decive you on the shooting experience. If your goal is to influence your friends, you should do it by shooting accurately, not by pulling a heavy  bow. What makes you successful is your correct technique! If you get a heavy bow that you can hardly pull, your technique will be effected  badly.  This causes poor performance during shooting.




Draw Length


What is your drawlenght.?
As much as bow weight,  draw lenght is also an important question. The draw length is the length measured from bow hand up to the point of release when the bow is fully drawn. The draw lenght will affect power of your bow.. Of course this applies to olympic and traditional bows, since the arm length can be adjusted in the reels (more precisely the draw stop of compound bow), your draw weight will not be affected. 
For most conventional bows, the maximum draw lenght is 28 inches; For this reason, the weight will increase when you draw more than 28 "or less weight if you draw less. You should add or subtract 2 to 2.5 pounds of weight per inch to findout your actual draw weight. Let's just make a small reminder that if you do not have a good quality bow, when you draw more than max draw lenght, you may beark or deform your bow.

What is my draw weight.
If you are having trouble deciding your draw weight you can check the infogram above for guidance.  these guidelines are only suggestions.  For better assistance, you can consult archery shops, archery courses or experienced people in your area. Another recommendation for finding the ideal weight is to sit on the floor and try to draw the bow.  if you can do it without difficulty, you are in the right weight range. You can also try to pull 10 times constructively while standing. If this tires you up and effect your technique, you can go for a lighter bow.

Over bowing. 
If you have just started, do not focus yourself on improving the draw strength in a short time. Try to improve  your technique. You should start with a light bow and allow your muscles grow stronger.  You can also do archery exercises to strengthen your back muscles, shoulder muscles and arms. If you start with a heavy bow, you may not be able to draw properly, but more important, you can hurt yourself.

Obviously, when you are practicing archery, your stance is much more important than how much you can draw. Also, when you choose a traditional bow, remember to consider the draw length. I believe that starting with a bow easy to draw will make archery much more enjoyable. If you do not have fun, why are you shooting arrows anyway?

JENAYAH SKY-DRAW








Bahaya Sky-Draw.

Senario #1

Di Melaka pada tahun 2017, dalam indoor game akibat Sky-Draw, arrow yang terlepas hampir-hampir mengenai Exhaust Fan yang tingginya 25 kaki.

Senario #2


Di MSN Keramat pernah terpaksa ditutup dari sebarang kejohanan memanah gara-gara atlit Sky-Draw di practise field dan arrow terlepas ke seberang jalan utama yang banyak kenderaan lalu lalang.

Senario #3

Tahun 2016 di Myanmar ada orang kampung yang berada lebih 300m dibelakang target cedera akibat terkena arrow yang terlepas akibat Sky-Draw.






Apakah Sky-Draw @ High-Draw ini?


Ia adalah jenyah yang sering dilakukan oleh pemanah senior mahupun pemanah baru di tournament terutamanya kategori Recurve dan Compound. Kedudukan High-Draw Recurve adalah Bow di angkat melebihi 30 darjah semasa Full-Draw. Manakala Compound pula  melebihi 30 darjah di angkat sebaik sahaja String ditarik dan ada pergerakan pada Cam.



Bagi Pemanah yang melakukan High-Draw semasa pertandingan berlangsung jika tertangkap boleh diberikan amaran dan jika masih diulangi boleh dikeluarkan dari pertandingan.





Angle Draw itu dikira dari pemanah mengangkat Bow dan aiming lurus ke target. Jika dia angkat Bow lebih tinggi 30 darjah semasa Full Draw (untuk Recurve) itu dikira sebagai High-Draw. Sewaktu Pre-Draw pastikan kedua-dua belah tangan parallel atau selari untuk mengelakkan High-draw. Syarat berlaku High-Draw adalah bilamana Full Draw, tangan yang memegang Bow lebih tinggi daripada tangan yang menarik. Namun begitu, sewaktu Pre-Draw  pun jika memegang Bow lebih tinggi daripada tangan yang menarik boleh dikira sebagai High-Draw. Peraturan High-Draw ini dibuat sebgai langkah keselamatan.

Salam sahabat peminat archery.

Kami di PAC menyediakan kemudahan Indoor Archery terutamanya pada kanak2 dan remaja yang berminat. (orang dewasa pun boleh)


Apakah kelebihan indoor archery ini.

#1 Anda berlatih dan belajar tanpa rasa malu. Takada audience yang nak nak' Boo' kamu melainkan ibubapa, guru yang memberikan sokongan.

#2 Tidak perlu risau cuaca hujan atau panas. Anda berlatih dalam suasana teduh terlindung dari cuaca buruk. Kalau panas kami akan On Aircond.

#3 Anda berlatih sambil dilatih memanah dengan betul. Kalau dah terer nanti bolehlah nak berlatih outdoor pula.

#4 Tiada risiko arrow tersasar. kalau main outdoor mungkin arrow tersasar, nahaslah kalau kena orang.

#5 Limited edition. Kami tak ambil ramai pada satu masa. Maksima 4 pelajar sahaja. So lebih fokus.

#6 Muslimat yang nak memanah tidak lagi segan kerana memanah dalam ruang tertutup.


Berapakah Harga Yuran yang dikenakan ?

Kami mengenakan Caj hanya RM35/Sejam/ Seorang sahaja. Ini meliputi :

#1 Unlimited Arrow. Arrow berkualiti jenis carbon bukan jenis fiber. "Berdesup" perginya.

#2 Safety Gear. Anda juga dibekalkan Quiver, Arm guard, Arrow rest guard, Finger guard.

#3 Personal Coaching. Anda akan dibimbing memanah dengan betul dan tidak dibiarkan terkial-kial.

#4 Sijil diberikan. Bolehlah tambah koleksi sijil adik2 nanti. Tak semua orang ada tau.

#5 Catatan score anda ditulis untuk mengetahui prestasi anda dari semasa ke semasa.
